She's An Official Teen! My Beautiful Youngest Niece Reina!
Reina when you arrived on the scene, January 8, 2005 I was extremely nervous. I did not know how to respond. I will be honest I was a little disappointed in my sister having another baby and not being married. But the day I saw your big beautiful alert eyes the nervousness and the disappointment went away. I was in awe with you and I knew that no child is a mistake. You were destined to be here the moment you arrived on earth.
You were well advanced and still are to this day. You were so aware to be so small and fragile. I must say my lady you simply just amazed me and I am proud to be your Auntie.
As a baby I loved, loving on you with your chunky body, big beautiful cheeks and smile with two dimples to enhance it. Your bubbly spirit just melted my heart away. I am grateful for having a niece of your caliber and give thanks for you choosing your mother and this family. We all embrace your wittiness and knowing spirit that at times can think she knows everything. Of course I am chuckling right now because we all know this to be the truth.
I have so many memorable times stored in my memory bank with you. One that comes to mind is when you were around nine years of age and gave me a lesson on plants being living organisms. You had a nerve to challenge my knowledge and the reasoning behind why I was vegan at the time so you could get some McDonalds oppose to plant based food. All I can do is laugh. I mean you broke down everything you knew about plants and how they were living organisms just as animals. It is so hilarious to me but I will say it was not enough to wither your way to McDonalds with me. Yes, I am once again chuckling and as well shaking my head. We still had vegan food that you will admit was actually tasty and filling.
Despite you challenging us all from time to time I am thankful for you and the lessons you have brought and continue to bring our family. Never stop just being you with your exquisiteness, uniqueness, intelligence, helpful, caring, calm, loving but can be fire on wheels spirit, authentic spirit that is irreplaceable. Because this is all what makes you our Reina, Reina! You definitely cannot be duplicated! Our personalized at home dictionary. Chuckling.
