SOLO TRAVELERS TAKING PICTURES

SOLO TRAVELERS TAKING PICTURES

This post was intrigued when I saw one of my beautiful sistas taking her first solo trip. I saw her many selfie pictures and all I could think about was a selfie tripod. I learned of this from another solo traveler some time ago. She pretty much let me know when you do not have anyone to take them candid shots you can do it yourself. Yep it is that easy and it will look like someone actually took the photo for you.

Depending on what type of photos you want to take I would recommend get a tripod that is 30-40 inches where it is tall enough to stand on it’s on. These are more larger and a lil bulky but they will capture you full body. You can do this with shorter ones but in order to get a full body picture it will have to be standing on something high or be on a high elevated area to get the shot you are seeking.  I have a 20 inch, 44 inch and 50 inch I take with me on travel. I like the 20 inch one the best because it can fit right in my purse. But if I want a more fuller picture I like carrying the 44 or 50 inch that both can fit in my small backpack. I must say they each have worked great for me. And the setup takes less than 5 minutes.

How to set yourself up for a candid selfie shoot:
  • Open your tripod and position how you want it to stand
  • Add and position your phone on the tripod
  • Set your phone settings for how you want the picture to be taken (ex: flash option, type of picture, ..)
  • Angle your phone to capture the background you want
  • Get it your photo position and press the remote to snap away
I’ve gotten some nice self pics of myself. I love my selfie tripods. I do not leave home without them now. Click this link selfie-tripod stick if you would like to invest in your first one. You will not be disappointed.
